Ken runs Las Olas Taqueria, a locally-owned Mexican restaurant chain with three locations across the East Coast. His existing website was functional but outdated and didn't effectively showcase their multiple locations or make online ordering easy for customers. He wanted clearer navigation, stronger visual impact, and a site that would "pop" - plus better ways for people to find and order from each location.
We transformed Las Olas Taqueria’s website through a Design Day intensive in Squarespace.
I created a custom locations page that clearly highlighted all three restaurants with their hours and ordering links, refreshed the community page to showcase their animal rescue partnership and awards, and streamlined the navigation for better user flow. The visual refresh included new optimized images, updated brand colors for consistency, and custom elements like burrito emoji bullet points 🌯 and taco puns throughout.
The updated site includes a custom contact form, new footer with all location details and ordering links, an 'Order' button in the main navigation, and even a punny custom 404 page. It's fully mobile responsive and optimized for conversions. I also created a live style guide and URL cheat sheet so Ken and his team could manage updates confidently after launch.
